![]() It is best to have these elements in place before introducing initiatives that foster shared leadership. Shared leadership works best when teams have a Vertical leadership does not need to be discarded and shared leadership can improve the internal processes within a team (Carson et al., 2007). Organizations can utilize shared leadership principles within teams, either with a designated formal leader or in teams without a designated leader (Carson et al., 2007). Interventions to encourage shared leadership are most effective when organizations are utilizing teams to achieve organizational objectives (Carson et al., 2007). Voice occurs when the team places value and importance on each team member’s contribution (Carson et al., 2007). The final cornerstone of voice is the ability of each team members to provide input to the team process. Voice: Appreciate each team member's contribution In showing social support, team members provide emotional support to each other through showing encouragement or recognizing each team member’s individual contributions. Social support: Provide emotional support to each other In fostering a shared purpose, team members understand and appreciate the main objectives of the team project and ensure that the team focuses on collective goals. Shared purpose: Understand and appreciate collective goals ![]() These three dimensions are the cornerstones of shared leadership. The concept of shared leadership focuses on the idea that tasks are shared through a team environment that relies on (Carson, 2007) What are the cornerstones of shared leadership? ![]() One such term is distributed leadership, which is sometimes used interchangeably with shared leadership however, although there has been some contention regarding the different terms, both types of leadership have the same core components (Northouse, 2007). Along with this attention, a variety of terms has been utilized to describe the process. The notion that leadership arises from group cognitions, interactions and behaviors rather than through a formally appointed leader has attracted attention from scholars and professionals. Shared leadership and distributed leadership have the same core components Shared leadership occurs when a group of individuals lead each other to achieve successful outcomes (Carson, Tesluk, & Marrone, 2007). It is important to distinguish shared leadership from team leadership because shared leadership describes how team members influence each other and share responsibility for tasks, rather than the concept of a team being led by a specific leader. However, the concept of sharing power and influence among a number of individuals emerged through organizational efforts to manage individuals in teams and also through a focus on self-leadership whereby individuals ‘lead others to lead themselves’ (Cox & Sims, 1996). The early roots of shared leadership can be seen as early as the Roman Empire, whereby a group of individuals shared power through the Senate. ![]() Shared leadership occurs when two or more members engage in the leadership of the team in an effort to influence and direct fellow members to maximize team effectiveness (Bergman, Rentsch, Small, Davenport & Bergman, 2012). A most recent description captures the essence of how leaders and followers work together on projects: There are several definitions of shared leadership. ![]() ![]() It also provides all the latest security and performance enhancements for Internet Explorer 5 for Mac OS X. If you've just switched from Windows to Mac, try one of the browsers suggested above instead. There are absolutely no compelling reasons to use Internet Explorer for Mac. Since development finished in 2005, Internet Explorer for Mac doesn't offer even the most basic features that you would consider a prerequisite on any browser nowadays like tabs, extensions, saved sessions or private data management. Internet Explorer for Mac is incredibly slow, buggy, prone to crashes and freezing and is woefully short of security settings. We couldn't even render the Softonic website in it and indeed, most websites failed to load properly. However, for normal internet browsing we'd really discourage you from using it. ![]() It is a sandwich dial with a potent layer of lume under those cut-away hour markers and rather pleasant gradient effect however, the handset is straight from the 70s with its ploprof minute and paddle second hands. Similarly, the dial also possesses a layout like the Grande’s, but it is not a copy. The insert looks very much like the Omega’s and has the added benefit of being ceramic, engraved, and lumed. It stays secure in its detents, although it does betray the occasional rattle when tapped. That mighty bezel exhibits good action through its 120-click, unidirectional rotation. It also sports a helium release valve because why the hell not? Nothing exceeds like excess. While you are cruising the ocean floor, you will be secure in the knowledge that your Super Marine is also protected by a 3mm sapphire crystal. The Aquatico shares that same rating thanks to its screw-down crown, caseback, and multiple Viton and Tefzel gaskets. When the Grande came out, a 1000m depth rating was unheard of. It’s clean, the edges are crisp, and the sunburst grain on top just screams 70s chic. I have faulted Aquatico’s case finishing in the past but cases like this one, that do not have complex curves or transitions between different finishes, this kind they do best. The case is brushed all around short and vertical on the sides, radial on top. If you like big dive watches, you can handle it.Īnd big it is, as my 6.75″ wrist can attest. I don’t have a scale equipped to weigh it with the necessary degree of accuracy, but I’d estimate it is somewhere between “desktop paperweight” and “manhole cover.” Actually, it feels remarkably close to my Citizen Ecozilla. Measuring 44mm wide, 55mm long, and a whopping 15.5mm thick, this helmet-style case is a commanding chunk of stainless steel, made even more so by its sheer sides, tall (4.5mm) bezel, and hidden lugs. That massive case is the Super Marine’s most arresting feature. As that legendary watch is beyond the reach of most budget-minded enthusiasts, it has been the inspiration for an homage or two, most notably, the now-discontinued Helson Sharkmaster. ![]() If the Super Marine looks familiar, it is because you are thinking of the Omega Seamaster 1000 “Grande” Diver. Today, I have the new $459 Aquatico Super Marine, which I can attest, falls squarely on the brand’s better side. When they are on, they can turn out fun, inexpensive dive watches like the Sea Star that deliver tremendous bang for the buck, but when they are off, we get poorly finished disappointments like the Oyster and the Poseidon. Once more, we have a watch from Aquatico in for review. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hello Yes, you can knock it down to 7.5w at which it is only just deafening. How is the hand wired one at home volume Hatti ? Its got the half power switch hasnt it ? I nearly pulled the trigger on one last week but fancy trying one first tbh If you're after the 10, I'd venture that you might as well go for the 15 and get the 12 inch speaker? I'm not sure if it could be modified - there's probably room to put the PCB further up, but it's possible that there is some unexpected issue with that - eg a stability problem - which could be why they've done it like that.Īt least if we know a Creamback will fit, then a Greenback will too if you prefer that - in fact I'm surprised that isn't the choice in the Limited Edition. I'm actually surprised they can even fit a Creamback in there, with the plastic cover on the magnet it must be just about touching the PCB. If they'd fitted them horizontally further up like the preamp valves, you could get one in. It really is a shame they've designed it like that - it's not the cabinet depth that's the problem, it's the awkward layout with the power valves mounted vertically right behind the speaker. Both are really good amps and I'm confident you'll enjoy yourself. I subsequently upgraded to an AC15 for a decent amount more headroom with a louder band. ![]() I really liked my AC10 overall and it was excellent for playing with the quieter band (mostly acoustic, no "rock" drum kit) I was in at the time. One thing that you may already know but just in case not: bear in mind that the AC10's shallow cabinet depth will preclude most replacement speakers if you are considering this option - especially alnicos. I thought the standard speaker was good too - tried swapping it for something out of an older Vox Cambridge amp and it made no difference. The originals weren't awful, but sticking some basic JJs in mine made it an awful lot warmer and richer in breakup. Seconded on getting new valves for a standard AC10. I then stuck a creamback in and it made a small difference, a little warmer, but as ICBM says not a whole lot. ![]() I stuck decent valves in my Ac10c1 and it made a big difference. ![]() ![]() It’s 6.6 feet long, which is the perfect length to reach from an outlet to a bedside table or desk, though it also comes in a 3.3-foot version if you prefer a shorter cable. The cable itself is also thin and flexible, making it easy to coil up and stow in a bag or pocket. The plastic housings felt pleasantly rounded and comfortable to grasp while we were plugging and unplugging, and they seemed firmly attached to the body. The Boost Charge cable isn’t as capable as most of our other picks, but we confirmed in our testing that it can charge devices at up to 15 W of power, which is the limit for this type of cable. Lots of older wall chargers, car chargers, and laptops have only USB-A ports, so having at least one cable like this around can be useful. Why you might prefer it: The Belkin Boost Charge USB-C to USB-A Cable is your best bet for charging a phone, tablet, or other small USB-C device on a USB-A port. Nekteck’s warranty isn’t quite as long as Anker’s (one year versus 18 months), but it should give you enough time to tell whether you have a dud. Most people probably don’t need a Thunderbolt 3 cable this long, but it’s always nice to have some extra slack (especially if your laptop isn’t located right next to the device you’re connecting it to, such as a hard drive or monitor). “Active” means that even though this Nekteck cable is much longer than Anker’s Thunderbolt 3 cable (6.6 feet versus just 1.6 feet), it doesn’t sacrifice any of the data-transfer capabilities, allowing you to move files between any two compatible devices at top speed. ![]() Nekteck’s cable stands apart, though, because it’s one of the few active Thunderbolt 3 cables we’ve found being sold by a reputable brand. Its housings are nearly identical to those of the Cable Matters USB-C to USB-C Charging Cable, as well. Like our main pick in this category, the 6.6-foot Nekteck Active Thunderbolt 3 Cable offers plenty of power for charging USB-C devices up to 100 watts, and in our testing it achieved full Thunderbolt 3 data-transfer rates (up to 40 Gbps). Why you might prefer it: This is another cable that’s overkill for the kinds of devices most people have in their homes but ideal for professionals who can take advantage of super-fast data transfers and need something longer than the standard 3 feet. Notably, this cable’s 18-month warranty is the best coverage length we’ve seen in this category, and that should give you plenty of time to test the cable out with your devices and decide whether it works properly for you. ![]() The housings attaching the plugs to the main body of the cable aren’t as robust as those of some other Anker cables, but they seem sturdy and roomy enough to let you get a firm grasp. When you use it with non-Thunderbolt USB-C devices, it functions as a USB-C cable that supports 100 W charging and USB 3.1 Gen 2 data-transfer speeds. It’s Thunderbolt 3 capable, so although it looks like any other USB-C–to–USB-C cable (aside from the Thunderbolt logo on each end), it can transfer data up to four times faster (40 Gbps) between supported devices. ![]() Rated for 100 W charging, the Anker USB-C Thunderbolt 3 Cable can charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro or any high-powered laptop. Why you might prefer it: This cable could be considered the “professional” pick, likely to be overkill in most homes. Each has different capabilities and limitations in charging power and speed (measured in watts, W) and data-transfer speed between devices (measured in megabits per second, Mbps, or gigabits per second, Gbps). Micro-USB and Mini-USB can provide only regular charging regardless of a USB-A or USB-C connection. Apple’s Lightning ports can use regular 12-watt charging with a USB-A cable and faster charging via USB-C. We’ve tested dozens of cables and adapters to help you find the right ones for your needs without overspending.Ī quick primer on USB specifications for those living in blissful oblivion: While ordinary USB-A ports are limited to just 12 watts of charging power, USB-C ports can provide 18 watts of fast-charging power to phones and, more rarely, up to 240 watts to laptops (depending on the cable and device you plug into them). ![]() Unfortunately, when it comes to USB-C, even cables that look identical can behave very differently-for instance, a cable that charges your phone at top speed might be sluggish at transferring music files, or vice versa. If you have a device with a USB-C port-such as a MacBook or other compatible laptop, an iPad Pro, a Nintendo Switch, or an Android phone-you need a cable to charge it and to transfer data to and from other devices. ![]() ![]() ![]() Buckle fracture treatmentīuckle fractures or torus fractures are usually treated with a pre-made wrist splint or a removable Plaster of Paris backslab (a partial cast held in place with bandages), which should be worn as much as possible but can be removed for bathing or showering.
